Roscoe Greene, District 6820 GovernorRoscoe Greene

A native of Thomson, Georgia where he graduated Thomson High School in 1969. He attended Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina and graduated with a B. A. Degree in 1974. Roscoe initially worked with Lee Atwater on the General William Westmoreland for Governor of S. C. staff. A career in the printing business took him to Charleston, S. C., New Orleans, La. And finally to the Jackson, Mississippi area. In 1999, Roscoe had the opportunity to get in the golf car business. He currently owns and operates Greene Jacket Golf Cars, a Yamaha dealer in Brandon, Ms.

Roscoe served in the military from 1970-1976 with the Army National Guard. Duty stations
included Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma where he was an Honor Graduate of the US Army Field Artillery School there in 1971.

He joined the Rankin County Rotary Club in 2002, served as President in 2004-05, and was honored as Rotarian of the Year in 2006-07. Roscoe also served as Assistant Governor from 2005-07. He is a Paul Harris + 1 and will serve as District Governor in 2010-11. Institutes attended include Little Rock, Indianapolis, Tulsa and Nashville.

Roscoe has served on the Board of the local YMCA. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of St. Dominic Hospital and the Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Association. He and his wife Renee reside in Brandon, Mississippi with their two children Caroline (16) and
Drew (14). They attend Pinelake Church where they have taught 5th and 6th grade
Sunday School. Hobbies include coaching U-12 football, golf, jogging and water sports.
