Jack Forbus

Jack has been a member of Rotary since 1975. He has served on many committees and as President of the Starkville Rotary Club in 2001–2002. He has also served on the club’s board of directors and received the Rotarian of the Year award in 2005.

He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1960 and worked in manufacturing for several years before becoming an agent for State Farm Insurance Companies, the position he currently holds. Jack has received many awards including President’s Club, Golden Triangle Award, and Crystal of Excellence.

Jack has served on the Executive Committee of the Mississippi Republican party and has worked in many election campaigns at the local, state, and national level. He is a long-time member of the Board of Directors for Palmer Home for Children. He is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and has served on many committees as well as the board of directors. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Starkville and has served as deacon and elder. Jack and his wife, Lynda Lewis Forbus, have five daughters and several grandchildren.
